JUNGLE JUSTICE

ABOUT THIS EVENT

A hilarious Comedy set in a courtroom.
Written by Femi Branch and Directed by Joshua Alabi

With few but highly mind-blowing characters whose seriousness would do nothing but make you roll on the floor.

The story centres around 'Ijimere Ika' a notorious area boy who's being arraigned in court for killing his friend.

The play depicts the normal Nigerian court with a Judge and Lawyer but with a super-silly Policeman as the court clerk, and extra-terrestrial dramatic innuendos just to create Humour and life.

Not a kings palace! not a village square! Not a Classroom!!

This is the only court where the Judge orders his Lawyers to kneel down, raise up your hands and close your eyes'... Crazy right???  Just hold on.

Only in this court, the judge has different sizes of Pankere (cane), a Gun and a Cutlass just to in still Law and Order in the most decent (anyhow) manner.

This shows that Nigeria is a land of stubborn people and 'violence they say, take hit by force'.... You either comply to my Judgment in this court or you take it by force.

It depicts our regular Nigerian nature and our reaction to the things that happen in our Country.

The play would leave your tommy aching for the whole day with great characters that have been carefully created and properly carved out by the Playwright for your pleasure.
